The ASTE is dedicated to the Quality, Integrity, and Advancement of the Test Engineering Profession. Peer Helping Peer. The Automatic Test Markup Language (ATML) team's mission is to define a collection of XML schemas that allows ATE and test information to be exchanged in a common format adhering to the XML standard. This covers test information to allow test program and test asset interoperability, and UUT test data including results and diagnostics to be standardized. The Common Test Interface (CTI) working group is developing an interface map for ATE to be legacy/backward compatible, support common pins, accommodate future growth potential/density increase, and consider all frequency requirements. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.,
helps advance global prosperity by promoting the engineering process of
creating, developing, integrating, sharing, and applying knowledge about
electrical and information technologies and sciences for the benefit of
humanity and the profession. SCC20
is the IEEE’s standards committee for Test and Diagnostics for Electronic
Systems. The
Interchangeable Virtual Instruments
(IVI) Foundation is a
new, open consortium of companies chartered with defining software standards
for instrument interchangeability. The IVI Foundation consists of end-user
test engineers and system integrators with many years of experience building
test systems. The International Council on System Engineering (INCOSE) is a not-for-profit membership organization founded in 1990. INCOSE is an international authoritative body promoting the application of an interdisciplinary approach and means to enable the realization of successful systems. The International
Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a network of national
standards institutes from 147 countries working in partnership with
international organizations, governments, industry, business and consumer
representatives. The mission of ISO is to promote the development of
standardization and related activities in the world with a view to
facilitating the international exchange of goods and services, and to
developing cooperation in the spheres of intellectual, scientific,
technological and economic activity. The mission of National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA)
is to provide a legal and ethical forum for the interchange of ideas
between the government and industry to resolve industrial problems of joint
concern. The association’s membership base consists of nearly 900 companies. The purpose of the Systems Engineering Committee is to
promote the widespread use of Systems Engineering in the DoD acquisition
process in order to achieve affordable and supportable weapon systems that
meet the needs of the military users. A
subcommittee is dedicated to Automatic Test. The Society of Automotive Engineers
is your one-stop resource
for technical information and expertise used in designing, building,
maintaining, and operating self-propelled vehicles for use on land or sea, in
air or space. The Standard Commands for Programmable Instrumentation
(SCPI) Consortium is an organization whose members share a common commitment to
develop a common interface language between computers and test instruments.
The charter of the SCPI Consortium is to improve the effectiveness of
instrument test software by increasing ease of use and improving the
interoperability of multi-vendor test systems. By developing a common, easily
understood, “English-like” instrument language, the Consortium hopes to
improve ease of programming for a wide variety of instruments. The Transportation
Research Board (TRB) is a unit of the
National Research Council, a private, nonprofit institution that is the
principal operating agency of the National Academy of Sciences and the
National Academy of Engineering. The Board’s mission is to promote
innovation and progress in transportation by stimulating and conducting
research, facilitating the dissemination of information, and encouraging the
implementation of research results. VXI
stands for VME eXtensions for Instrumentation. The
VME standard was developed by Motorola and a number of other companies in the
late 1970s. It has been widely accepted as a backplane standard for many
electronic platforms. It defines the electrical and mechanical backplane
characteristics that allow a wide variety of companies to develop products to
work in a mix and match fashion to develop electronics systems. The VXIplug&play Systems Alliance
is an organization whose
members share a common commitment to end-user success with open, multivendor
VXI systems. The alliance uses
both formal and de facto standards to define complete system frameworks. These
standard frameworks give end-users true “plug & play” interoperability
at both the hardware and system software level.
The goal of the VXIplug&play Systems Alliance is to improve ease of
use and maintain VXI as a true, open multi-vendor architecture at the system
level. Conferences Aerospace
Expo
is
an intensive conference for working professionals in the manufacturing,
engineering, design and purchasing industry. It's the one event to bring all
aspects of aerospace management under one roof. ATA
Management Conference & Exhibition ATA's
Management Conference & Exhibition brings nearly 4,000 of trucking's top
motor carriers and suppliers together. These are the people who look, listen
and buy! They will be actively seeking innovative solutions to help them meet challenges
they face in many areas. Exhibitors benefit from cost-effective,
quality leads and widespread support and exposure. ATE
Selection, Design, & Programming This
course provides test program development approaches for both fault detection
and fault isolation. It is intended primarily for test and testability
professionals, and is appropriate for both novice and experienced test
engineers. Avionics Maintenance Conference AMC is an air transport industry activity sponsored by Aeronautical Radio, Inc. (ARINC). The objectives of AMC are to promote reliability and reduced operating cost in air transport avionics by improving maintenance and support techniques through the exchange of technical information. IEEE

AUTOTESTCON is the world’s only conference that focuses
primarily on Automated Test and related technology for military, government,
and aerospace applications. It has been in existence for over 35 years, and
has grown into the premier annual conference for this application field. The
conference also has an expanded focus into commercial areas that share a
common technical base, including aerospace, vehicle and automotive, and
commercial factory test applications. International Test Conference is the world’s premier conference dedicated to electronic test technology, covering the complete cycle from design verification, test, diagnosis, failure analysis back to process and design improvement. At ITC, test and design professionals can confront the challenges the industry faces and learn how these challenges have been addressed by the combined efforts of academia, design tool and equipment suppliers, designers and test engineers. Logistics Officer Association LOA is comprised of over 1,500 military officers and civilians in logistics fields around the globe. The purpose of the Logistics Officer Association is to enhance the military logistics profession. LOA provides an open forum to promote quality logistical support and logistics officer professional development. Maintenance,
